However, there are situations where a scar can occur.<\/p>\n<p>Scars from a cold sore mainly occur when the skin is severely damaged, for example by scratching or removing scabs. A cold sore that bursts and bleeds can also cause scars.<\/p>\n<p>SoreFix Rescue keeps the scab soft and flexible so that it cannot crack and you are less likely to remove a dry scab.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes the skin becomes infected with bacteria, causing the inflammation to worsen, which can lead to deeper skin damage and therefore a higher chance of scarring.<\/p>\n<p>SoreFix Rescue forms a protective layer on the skin and inhibits bacterial growth.
